Our project for the full refurbishment of  a house in Fitzrovia has been granted planning permission. The proposals include the removal of the rear elevation at ground level and connection to a former workshop to the rear of the house.

Additionally a new floor is being added to accommodate the master bedroom and a terrace. The terrace is set behind an open framework, which whilst visually continuing the line of the established mansard roofs, frames views of the city and creates an external room.

Alongside Lyons O’Neill Engineers we are currently progressing an almost forensic analysis of the existing Georgian building and foundations, all of which have been subject to movement, bombing, ad hoc additions and rebuilding over a number of centuries.
