Work has commenced on the Grade II listed, five-storey building accommodating the George and Dragon pub on St John Street in Clerkenwell, which has remained vacant for four years.

Having recently secured listed building consent and planning permission, our scheme adopts a conservation-led approach, seeking to preserve and enhance the building’s historic fabric wherever possible, while introducing carefully considered functional improvements.

The building is being refurbished throughout, with the ground-floor pub reinstated, Island, an established restaurant, set to relocate to the first floor. Upper levels are being reconfigured to provide ancillary client offices, with selective openings introduced within existing walls to improve connectivity between rooms.
